More new products!

Ok everyone, listen up! I've got some new products I'm dying to share with the world. Why not stop by the shop and take a look - www.milkmaidmama.etsy.com!
First off we have a very cute (and reasonably priced, I might add!) baby shower game. It comes in blue or pink (or green/yellow for gender neutral) -your choice. Two pairs of dice that say "BA" and "BY" on the sides (BABY), with an instruction card embellished with a ribbon, all packaged up in a small celophane bag. They can also be custom ordered for bridal shower games instead of for baby. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=14073179
Next in line we have burp cloth made with white flannel and a cotton print in nice creams, golds and browns -perfect for fall. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=14389724
Then there is a pair of cloth nursing pads that match the burp cloth above. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vl_other_1&listing_id=14376741
And finally, not yet listed but in the process... I just finished a new nursing cover that I intend to list seperately and also as a set with the burp cloth and nursing pads. It's the same style as my other nursing covers, but with a "twist". It's made of chocolate brown cotton on both sides and on the front side it has a curving, swirly stripe (about 1" wide) in the same cotton print fabric found on the burp cloth and nursing pads. I really think the three items together will make a cute set -for yourself or for a baby shower gift! I have already posted pictures of the set up on my facebook group (Milk Maid Mama Nursing Covers) but it has yet to be posted on my Etsy shop as I'm in the process of moving and should really be packing instead of blogging.
Anyway, Please have a look and let me know what you think!

Ultrasound!

Yesterday was my ultrasound! So exciting. We found out we are having a girl!! Right now I have 8 nephews and no nieces so this will be the first granddaughter for my parents and my in-laws. It's not only exciting for us to have a girl and get to buy all the cute girly things, but it's like a financial investment.... she'll get so spoiled I'm sure that we may not need to buy anything for her for some time! haha.
That's about it for now.

Cool Handbag -Etsy FInd

Ok, so I know I've already posted once today, but I was browsing through shops with 0 sales on Etsy and stumbled across this very unique handbag. Though I can't afford it, I just had to share it with someone. It's made by MightyMichele on Etsy. It's made almost entirely out of a monopoly board! How cool is that?

First Sale!

Wow! So am I excited or what? I had my very first sale today! Unfortunately, it was outside of my Etsy shop, so I don't get to count it as a sale on Etsy or get feedback. Sad day. But the transaction went very smoothly. The lady was extremely nice and friendly, which made it a pleasant experience. I sure can't wait for another sale.
Also of note -I have another new item in my store. Feel free to check it out. It's a handmade baby shower game made with 1/2" wooden cubes, painted with acrylics. They come in cute little packages with an instruction card (embellished with a bow). I think they turned out rather well, don't you?
If you aren't already a member, come on by my Facebook group (Milk Maid Mama Nursing Covers) and check us out. I have a link to my store and pictures of my products. Woo hoo.
I have been doing all kinds of reading lately too -it seems like the resources on selling online and even helpful articles and forum threads to help new sellers on Etsy are ENDLESS....literally. In all my purusing I discovered that there is an Etsy application for Facebook too. Who would have thought? Seriously, Facebook has almost anything you can imagine these days.. haha. SO now I have photos of my items on my profile. It's neat because you can also feature items from your favorites, so maybe I will change it up. I've found a lot of great items from other Etsy sellers, so why not give them some publicity too?
And the last bit of news for today... my brother-in-law and sister-in-law finally picked a name for their new baby. His name is Daniel. Interesting that now I have 2 nephews named Daniel -one on each side of the family -who are only about 15 months apart. And of all 8 nephews 4 start with C and 2 are Daniel -talk about confusing.
Ok, here's me signing off.

New item in the shop

Ok, everyone! Hello again. I now have 3 items in the shop! Woohoo? Right now 2 listings are identical, though... so I need to start making more stuff. BUT -there is a new listing that is different than my ordinary nursing covers. It's a neckstrap with a clip at each end. That way you can clip it to any blanket, etc. and have an instant nursing cover! And it takes up way less space in a diaper bag, and costs less than a regular nursing cover. It can also be used as a makeshift bib. The link is above -check it out.
Also, something I'm super excited about -I figured out how to add the widget at the bottom of my blog that shows photos of featured items in my shop. How cool is that? Ok, so maybe it's not anything new to you, but I'm so pumped about it. And just about having my own "shop" in general.
So... here's me signing off for another day.

Hello!

Hi all.
Well, what can I say? I finally have a blog. I thought I would never hop on this bandwagon, but here I go.
First off, if you are reading this -kudos to you! You're probably one of the few right now, and I appreciate it.
One piece of news: I just set up shop on Etsy.com selling handmade nursing covers and other things (well, the "other things" are coming... eventually). My maternity leave finally came to an end **sigh** so I am trying to find ways to make some extra cash from home. Hopefully business will pick up soon and I can help support my family while my husband finishes university. Check it out at MilkMaidMama.etsy.com. And if you join Etsy (it's free!) please put my username (MilkMaidMama) in the referral box! Yay.
Wow... I'm already out of things to say -don't get your hopes up, that's only temporary.
Adios Amigos!
